Be the Lead, Example, and the Change Agent

When you know something must be done, do not expect someone else to do it. Now that’s a philosophy for life that works.

All too often, we wait for someone else to do the things we know need to be done, things we should be doing ourselves. Whether it’s raising our children, cleaning up our neighborhood, improving our financial condition, or getting right with God, you and only you are the one to get the job done.

“All too often, we wait for someone else to do the things we know need to be done..”

Don’t expect the teachers in the school to raise your children. You show them the way, lead by example, and convey high expectations. If you start improving your community by cleaning up your yard, then maybe your neighbors will catch on. And guess what, the church by itself won’t save your soul. It’s not the responsibility of the minister, the choir, the auxiliaries, or the deacons. Can I get an amen?

Now, I pray that you will have the strength and wisdom to do what is right for your children, your community, and most of all, for yourself.
